Finding A Realtor

Whether you are a first time buyer or an experienced seller it is important to choose a fantastic realtor when making a home change.  Your realtor will be working hand in hand with you on a daily basis and making a wise choice when hiring one can make you or break you.

- Resist the urge to hire your realtor friend or neighbor, it will be easier in the long run to hire someone that you don’t aleasdy have a relationship with
-Ask lots of questions:
How long they have been in the business?
What is their sales track record?
What area of town they focus on?
How commissions will be split and paid?
Will you agent stick with you to the end for home inspections and closings?
-If you are listing a home, you want to find out how your home will be marketed, will it appear in internet postings, newspapers or magazines are they willing to do open houses.
-If you are buying a home you will want to be certain that your realtor is a great communicator, understanding your needs from the get go will making finding a home less daunting.
-Regardless if you are buying or selling make sure your agent is comfortable with your price range, if there is any negativity move on.

Remember, you will be spending a lot of time with this person so make sure you are comfortable with them, housing is one of the biggest life decisions we make so take it seriously!
