Rebel is a six-year-old male black male Labrador Retriever mix who is looking for a loving home. He's not really a rebel, though. He is obedience trained, house trained, crate trained, sweet, friendly, playful, likes kids and other dogs and so much more! His previous owner surrendered him to the SPCA of Texas on March 2 because they had to move and couldn't take him with them. He is also heartworm positive and will require treatment after he is adopted, but thanks to a generous donor, Rebel's treatments will be free to his new family. Duchess is a ten-year-old female Domestic Shorthair who has a beautiful gray tabby coat and bright yellow-green eyes. She is healthy, lovable, quiet, mellow and litter trained, and would do best in a family of adults only where she'd be the only cat. Duchess enjoys being brushed and loves taking long naps in the patch of sunlight on the floor. Duchess was brought to the SPCA of Texas on March 10 and she is ready to find a new home where she can cuddle up with her new family. #5425917
Rebel and Duchess are waiting for you at the SPCA of Texas's Perry Animal Care Center in McKinney, 8411 Stacy Road/FM 720. Hours are noon to 6 p.m. seven days a week. Regular adoption fees are $185-$285 for puppies 0-6 months, $95-$195 for adult dogs 6 months or older, $75 for senior dogs 7 years or older, $50 for VIP dogs, $95 for cats, $125 for kittens, $75 for senior cats 7 years and older and $50 for VIP cats. Fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, a heartworm test for dogs six months and older, initial heartworm preventative for dogs, a feline leukemia test for cats four months and older, a microchip, a rabies tag and a free leash or cat carrier.
