Childhood Obesity Is Getting Worse

The latest numbers show America’s childhood obesity problem is getting worse, not better. A new report shows obesity rates of 18.5 percent among children between the ages of 2 and 19.  The problem is getting worse for younger children – obesity rates for children age 2-5 are at their highest rate since 1999. Experts say obese children are more likely to remain that way into adulthood, making them more prone to health issues like diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.
