The Denison Arts Council is sponsoring a Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Festival and Art Walk in the Denison Arts and Cultural District
Saturday and Sunday
The Event Features include–
La Catrina y El Catrin competition at 11am, Heritage Park
Face Painting booths (get your make-up on for the La Catrina contest
Galleries and stores along Main Street will be open
Parade at 1pm, starting at the 600 block of Main
Childrens' area with mask decorating and sidewalk art
Toro, the mechanical bucking bull
Food Vendors
Artists and craftsmen and a Mexican style Mercado along Main Street
Performances and music throughout the day (three different locations)
Raku Rumble(ceramic firing) from 1pm to 5pm
The movie Frida at 3:30pm at the Rialto on Main
Frida Kahlo Look-A-Like contest following the movie, approximately 5:45pm
Sundown sidewalk procession down Main Street at 6:30, from 600 block of Main to Heritage Park
