Friends - Our food pantry supplies at Community Lifeline Center are nearly depleted. Please visit our website for instructions on donating to our 3 Meals-in-a-Bag program. We are in urgent need of Canned meats, starches such as rice and pasta, breakfast cereals, canned fruit and shelf stable milk products, but optimally the composed bag is best.
We would be so appreciative if you would spread the word to any clubs, groups, friends (Facebook) and any other ways you think would help. We all participate in Bunco, Book Clubs, Sunday School, VBS, Knitting, Scrapbooking, even birthday parties or other gatherings. If you can manage a food drive at your workplace, either with your employees or the public, we would be pleased to help organize that. If you would like to collect items, I am happy to pick them up or you may bring items to our offices adjacent to McKinney Pharmacy, 1601 W. University Dr,, Ste B, between 8:30 am – 2:30 pm M-Th. We are closed from noon-1:00 pm for lunch.
In two months since the Collin County Master Gardener Show that was held the end of March, we have depleted the TWO TRUCKLOADS of canned goods that were collected! Now that school is out, children who might normally eat at school are home – couple that with increased electricity bills and an already struggling family becomes overwhelmed.
Thanks for your support and kind consideration of this request ~ and please spread the word.
