North Texas radio group has an immediate on-air opening for our Hot AC radio station located in McKinney, TX (Collin County). We're looking for more than a warm body. If you've got phone and interview skills and the desire to build your personality, we want to hear from you. This position demands a strong work ethic and will involve frequent contact with the public, so professional appearance, positive attitude and outgoing demeanor is a must. At least three years of live radio experience is required. Knowing your way around a production studio is a must. Radio station equally serves counties north of Collin County, TX and applicants must be willing to work occasional remote broadcasts in Texoma area. RADIO AND INTERNET SALES ASSISTANT

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Work with Sales Managers, Sales Account Executives, Interactive Specialist and Promotions Manager while learning the ins and outs of Radio and Internet Advertising Sales. You will represent all 3 radio stations, KLAK, KMKT and KMAD as well as NextMedia 360.

Includes but not limited to assisting the sales department with data collection and entry, confirmation and reconciling sales orders, researching discrepancies, processing paperwork, maintaining elements of CRMS, writing and proofreading copy, researching new advertising prospects, creating presentations and attending station events.

This is a full time entry level position. Preference will be given to candidates who profess and exhibit a desire to eventually move into full time Radio and Internet Advertising Sales.

REQUIREMENTS:

Includes but not limited to:

• Current valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, proof of insurance and state inspection
• Above average computer and internet skills.
• Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office preferable, including Word, Excel and PPT
• Must have good communication skills - phone and writing.
• Must be familiar with the 97.5 KLAK, 93.1 Katy Country and MadRock 102.5 formats.
• Good sense of humor and a positive attitude. Be able to work full time.
• Ability to learn formalized sales training, take direction and execute systems.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Creative skills needed to help develop business for our radio stations and internet based products.
• Need to show ambition, work intensity, responsibility and problem-solving skills.
