Some States Want To Ditch Daylight Saving Time

Daylight Saving Time begins this Sunday at 2am. Time to “spring” your clocks forward an hour. Benjamin Franklin created the concept, which was signed into law by President Lyndon Johnson in 1966 and amended in 2007 to take place on the second Sunday of March. But several states are looking to opt out. Massachusetts wants to join the Atlantic time zone permanently. Maine has passed bills stating they will do the same if Massachusetts and New Hampshire go along too. A bill was sent to Florida’s Governor Rick Scott to keep the state on daylight saving time year round. Hawaii and Arizona do not observe at all.
What do you think? Time to just say bye-bye to Daylight Saving Time?
