Every night, thousands of children right here in our area cry themselves to sleep because they’re afraid to go to school the next day! October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month. Your Hometown Radio Station – 97.5 KLAK – is trying to make a difference by partnering with local businesses – like the office of Dr. Vicki Seidmeyer and the Love Life Foundation – to share information about how we all can help prevent or stop bullying in our area.
Bullying affects people in many ways. Kids may lose sleep, feel sick and may want to skip school. They may even be thinking about suicide. Bullying in the 21st century goes far beyond pushing and shoving. Cyberbullying, bullying that takes place using social media sites, text messages, chat, and websites, is on the rise.
Listen to your hometown radio station – 97.5 KLAK – all this month for special Bullying Prevention facts & information.
